Arron Afflalo: Could miss two weeks with hammy issue
Afflalo, who failed to practice Monday due to a mild left hamstring strain, suggested he could be sidelined for up to two weeks, Ian Begley of ESPN New York reports.
Analysis:
Given that Afflalo previously strained the hamstring early in training camp and missed about two weeks, it's not overly surprising that he believes he may face a similar timetable the second time around. Given that the Knicks don't want Afflalo's injury to develop into a season-long issue, expect the team to exercise some precaution in the early going. He hasn't officially been ruled out yet for Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Bucks, but it's more than likely a foregone conclusion at this point. Expect either Sasha Vujacic or Langston Galloway to enter the starting lineup at shooting guard for the Knicks' first handful of games.
