The Atlanta Hawks trimmed their roster to 15 with a pair of cuts Saturday, waiving forward Earl Barron and guard DeQuan Jones.

Barron joined the Hawks on a training-camp deal after a strong showing in the D-League last season. He averaged 20.3 points and 10.9 rebounds, shooting 33 percent from deep while flashing credible signs of developing into a stretch-four.

Jones also signed a training-camp contract with the Hawks. The 27-year-old bounced around the D-League last season, where he averaged 13.7 points and 4.8 rebounds while shooting 40.6 percent from deep.
