Anderson (ankle) won't play in Tuesday's preseason game against the 76ers, J. Michael of CSN Washington reports.

Analysis:

Anderson still isn't practicing with the Wizards, despite reports last week that suggested he'd be back on the court in short order. It's not apparent at this stage if he's dealing with a notable setback following an offseason procedure to remove bone spurs from his left ankle, but any further missed time will hurt his effort at mounting a challenge for the starting small forward job. Otto Porter currently looks like the favorite to claim that role.
