Marshall (knee) will be out through at least the end of October as he continues to rehab a torn right ACL, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Analysis:

Marshall was cleared to take full contact at the beginning of training camp, but the Sixers appear inclined to proceed slowly with the point guard, who tore up the knee in mid-January while playing with the Bucks. The former first-rounder should gradually continue his activities as camp rages on, but it's unclear at this point if he'll be ready to participate in preseason action. If he ends up missing the full exhibition schedule, Marshall could be at risk of missing the start of the regular season.
