Martin is expected to begin the season coming off the bench, Justin Termine of Sirius XM reports.

Analysis:

T-Wolves interim coach Sam Mitchell confirmed Tuesday that Zach LaVine will open the year as the starting shooting guard, which means Martin is set to come off the bench, given Andrew Wiggins' status as the starting small forward. The 32-year-old Martin started 36 of the 39 games in which he played last season, but he was bothered by a number of injuries, including a fractured wrist. He's highly unlikely to approach the 33.4 minutes per game he averaged last season, but Martin is still expected to hold down a significant role as the backup behind LaVine. It's too early to speculate exactly what kind of minutes load he'll see, but considering Martin's proficiency as a three-point shooter (38.5 percent career; 39.3 percent last season) he should still hold decent fantasy value.
