While Stephen A. Smith was busy ranting at Kevin Durant on ESPN's "First Take," Durant was busy giving back to the community.

The Oklahoma City Thunder star unveiled a new basketball court Monday at North Highland Elementary School as part of the Kevin Durant Charity Foundation's "BUILD IT AND THEY WILL BALL" court renovation initiative.

"I'm so thankful for the role that basketball had in my life as I was growing up,” said Durant in a statement when the news of the court was announced. "I want to provide the students of North Highland and Oklahoma City with access to a high-quality basketball court that will help the next generation develop their own passion for the game while learning important values such as teamwork, sportsmanship and living an active lifestyle."
