Analysis:

Denver was the expected landing spot for Miller after the Trail Blazers elected to buy out the forward's contract over the weekend. Miller, who was dealt to Portland in July in a salary dump, is preparing to serve in a mentoring role for the Nuggets' young perimeter talent this season. After spending four of the last five years alongside LeBron James in Miami and then Cleveland, Miller should have plenty of wisdom to impart to his new teammates, but his on-court contributions are likely to remain minimal. Now 35 years old, expect Miller to see fewer than 15 minutes a night, and only in situations where the Nuggets are in need of more three-point shooting on the outside.
