After a strong showing for the Heat's summer league squad, Reed earned himself a fully-guaranteed, one-year, $500,000 contract with the Nets. It's unlikely he'll see a significant amount of minutes for the club, but he could nab a roster spot with a strong training camp. Unfortunately, he encountered his first hurdle in that quest Wednesday by suffering the injury. While the severity of the ailment remains unclear, he'll likely miss at least a couple days because of it.
