Anderson (ankle) was held out of Tuesday's practice, Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

Anderson had offseason surgery to remove bone spurs from his left ankle, and he admitted over the weekend that he's still not at 100 percent. "We don't want to force anything and get me out there too early, try to force an issue with me getting out there faster than I should be," Anderson said. "I'm coming along good. Training camp is here we'll see how much I can do." Anderson indicated he'd be ready to return to practice Wednesday, so it doesn't sound like he's at risk of missing time to begin the season. Even if the injury keeps Anderson out a few more days, the Wizards certainly won't rush him back and are comfortable with Otto Porter, Kelly Oubre and Martell Webster all healthy at the small forward spot.
