Danilo Gallinari's red-hot EuroBasket 2015 experience is spilling over from game action into practice sessions.

The Denver Nuggets forward has been dominant in helping lead Italy to the quarterfinals, ranking third in tournament scoring with 18.5 points per game and adding 6.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists, all while shooting 57.7 percent and averaging 8.2 free throw attempts. He's been one of a small handful of the best players in the tournament, and he'll be a major factor in Italy's chances against Lithuania on Wednesday.

In what could be a good omen for the Italians, Gallinari is in such a zone that he's hitting three-quarter-court shots from a seated position:

Gallinari's summer performance has to be encouraging for Nuggets fans ahead of the 2015-16 season. The 27-year-old struggled to return to form following a torn ACL that cost him all of 2013-14, but in the words of Nuggets general manager Tim Connelly, Gallinari is "not just back, but he's better than ever."

In 59 games last season, Gallinari averaged 12.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists while shooting 40.1 percent. The overall numbers undersell a trend that may have portended his strong EuroBasket showing, though, as Gallinari averaged 18.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.9 assists on 44.3-percent shooting after the All-Star break.
