The Washington Wizards signed point guard Ish Smith to a non-guaranteed training camp deal, reports Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post.

The 27-year-old Smith is the epitome of an NBA journeyman. The diminutive distributor has played for eight franchises over his past five seasons in the league, logging time mostly as a punch-in, third-string point guard.

Across 246 games played, Smith boasts averages of 3.6 points and 2.3 assists while shooting 39.1 percent from the field and 25.6 percent from deep.

Smith joins guard Toure' Murry on the list of the Wizards' camp invites. Neither player is likely to make the roster given that Washington is currently carrying 15 guaranteed contracts.
