Report: A.J. Price finalizing deal to play in China

Free-agent point guard A.J. Price is on the verge of signing a contract to play for the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association, according to international basketball reporter David Pick.

Price played for three NBA teams last season. After starting the year with the Indiana Pacers, he was waived and claimed by the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs released him in January and he played out a 10-day contract with the Phoenix Suns.

In six NBA seasons, Price has averaged 5.8 points with five teams.
