Jennings (Achilles) has no qualms coming off the bench as a sixth man, and he will not rush the recovery process after tearing his Achilles in January, the Detroit Free Press reports. "If I have to come off the bench and be the sixth man or whatever, I'm fine with that," Jennings said.

Analysis:

In an interview with Jabari Young and Vincent Goodwill of Comcast SportNet, Jennings reiterated that he thought the Pistons acquiring Reggie Jackson was a smart move for the organization. On the final year of his contract, Jennings will likely be brought along slowly and play behind Jackson, occasionally playing opposite the Pistons' starting point guard. Coach Stan Van Gundy recently admitted Jennings may not be ready for the start of the season. It's also possible Van Gundy moves Jennings prior to the trade deadline to recoup some value. Jennings provided fantasy gold last season after Josh Smith was waived, but the expected minute reduction and health concerns will cap his overall value.
