Vlade Divac's job title just got a little longer now that he's the general manager of the Sacramento Kings.

The Kings announced Monday that Divac will serve as vice president of basketball operations and general manager. The 47-year-old Divac was hired in March as vice president of basketball and franchise operations.

Divac has guided the Kings through a tumultuous offseason which has featured a bitter rift between his star player DeMarcus Cousins and head coach George Karl. The former Kings' All-Star has been forced to play peacemaker between the two sides and to his credit, the relationship between Karl and Cousins seems somewhat improved.

Divac also dramatically restructured the Kings' roster. He was active in free agency, signing Rajon Rondo, Marco Belinelli, Kosta Koufos, James Anderson, Caron Butler, Quincy Acy, and Seth Curry to address deficiencies with depth and shooting. Divac also selected center Willie Caulie-Stein with the sixth pick of the 2015 NBA Draft.

Most importantly, Divac has also won the admiration and confidence of Cousins during a time of uncertainty for the franchise.

In addition to Divac's promotion, the Kings also announced Mike Bratz will be assistant general manager, Roland Beech will serve as vice president of basketball strategy, and Peja Stojakovic will be director of player personnel and development.
