The unique long-term construction project that is the Philadelphia 76ers appears to be trying to stay on the right side of the dreaded "Based God's Curse."

The Sixers' D-League affiliate, the Delaware 87ers, on Wednesday extended an invite to rapper Lil B to try out for the team next month.

It didn't take long for the Bay Area performer to accept, and he made it sound like the offer came from a previous promise.

Lil B attended an open tryout for his hometown Golden State Warriors' D-League team in Santa Cruz in 2012.

The 87ers tryout is open as well, but given the curses Lil B says he placed on Kevin Durant and James Harden, the Sixers are wise to be extra courteous here.
