Journeyman point guard Will Bynum is taking his talents back to China after helping the Washington Wizards in their playoff run last season.

Bynum is finalizing a deal to re-sign with the Guangdong Southern Tigers, according to international basketball reporter David Pick.

Bynum first signed with the Tigers on Dec. 5, 2014 as a replacement for injured point guard Emmanuel Mudiay, who went on to be drafted seventh overall by the Denver Nuggets. Bynum averaged 22.3 points, 7.1 assists, and 3.6 rebounds in 30 games with the Tigers.

Despite his success overseas, Bynum returned home to make a brief appearance in the NBA with the Wizards. He rarely played during the regular season and served as a deep bench piece, but he did see the floor in the playoffs when starter John Wall got injured.

Altogether, the 32-year-old Bynum scored 41 points across 10 games with the Wizards.

This summer, Bynum reportedly drew interest from a handful of teams, including the Wizards, Chicago Bulls, Phoenix Suns, Indiana Pacers, Toronto Raptors, and Memphis Grizzlies.
