VIDEO: Iggy Azalea makes fun of Swaggy P practicing proposal, 2014-15 season

The 2015 summer is all about change for Nick Young.

Coming off a down year with a disappointing Los Angeles Lakers squad, Young has to face a new reality with heavy competition for touches in the second unit, in the form of new acquisition Lou Williams. He'll also have to adjust to shooting with a right arm that is no longer "strictly for buckets."

The biggest change in Young's life probably comes in his marital status, as he proposed to girlfriend Iggy Azalea in early June. She accepted, but to hear Azalea tell it recently, Swaggy P made damn sure he knew ahead of time she would say "Yes."

Azalea was also sure to get a good shot in at Young's 2014-15 performance, saying he's had to practice plenty this offseason because, "Did you see the last season?"

That jab is all in good fun, and Young and Azalea have long seemed to have the type of relationship where they can make fun of each other and laugh together about it. But she's not lying about Young's tough year, one that led to him being put on the trading block, only for the Lakers to find the market tepid.

In 42 games, Young averaged 13.4 points on 36.6 percent shooting, a woeful mark for someone shooting at the volume he did. He still knocked down 36.9 percent of his threes, maintaining a modicum of efficiency, but his complete lack of rebounding, playmaking, and defense rendered him essentially a one-trick pony struggling to perform his one trick.

If Young can find a better rapport with head coach Byron Scott and thrive with reduced usage in an improved second unit, it's conceivable he could have a bounce-back 2015-16. Still just 30, Young is only a season removed from posting above-average marks in player efficiency rating (16) and true shooting percentage (56.4).
