Analysis:

Faried is an undersized power forward incapable of protecting the rim. In an effort to fix his defensive shortcomings, he's spent time watching film on his toughest matchups. However, with the league taking a shine to smaller lineups, some of the video may be outdated. Last season under interim coach Melvin Hunt, Faried excelled as the starting center. If he's moved back to power forward permanently, the obvious scenario, he won't be able to utilize his speed as effectively.
