Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah is trying to make a difference.

Since 2010, the 30-year-old New York City native's charity organization, Noah's Arc Foundation, has provided opportunities for children, teens, and young adults to participate in art and sports programs.

Another central focus of his foundation has been curbing violence, particularly in Chicago.

On Saturday, Noah released a video promoting his new "Rock Your Drop" anti-violence campaign.

The drop - a tear-shaped pendant - was originally designed by Noah's mother, Cecilia Rodhe. It symbolizes both the pain of losing a loved one to violence and a commitment to affecting positive change.

Drop necklaces can be purchased on the foundation's website, with proceeds going toward violence prevention and youth empowerment initiatives.
