Allen, who spent the 2014-15 season away from the league, has stayed in shape and would return to the game if the right situation arises, Ananth Pandian of CBS Sports reports.

Analysis:

The 40-year-old is not labeling himself as "retired" and would be open to compete for another championship. "I haven't said anything about that and I won't officially retire. Because if something came to the table, contractually and situational-ly, I want to be able to take a strong look at it. I don't want to be that guy that says he's retiring and then is coming back," Allen said Saturday at his basketball camp. He also revealed that the only time he got the itch to be on the court last season was during the Finals as he watched the Cavaliers and Warriors battle it out. It's likely that a few NBA teams will reach out to Allen in hopes of adding the veteran's three-point shooting to their roster.
