The Sacramento Kings have added Nancy Lieberman and former NBA guard Anthony Carter to their coaching staff, the team announced Friday.

With the hire, Lieberman becomes the second-ever female assistant coach in the NBA. The San Antonio Spurs' Becky Hammon was the first.

Nicknamed Lady Magic in her playing days, Lieberman is considered one of the greatest women's basketball players of all time. After a stint as a general manager in the WNBA, she coached the Dallas Mavericks' D-League squad from 2009-11, and has since worked as a broadcaster for ESPN and on Oklahoma City Thunder telecasts.
