USAB chairman Jerry Colangelo thinks LeBron James wants to play in 2016 Olympics
After helping Team USA to a second-consecutive Olympic gold medal in 2012, LeBron James was reportedly set on retiring from the national team.
However, USA basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo isn't ruling anything out. Colangelo spoke about James on Sirius XM NBA Radio.
"I think LeBron wants to be part of it," Colangelo said in reference to the upcoming 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
James is arguably the best player in the world and he'll surely receive an invite should he decide to attend the Olympics for a fourth time as a 31-year-old. After securing two golds and one bronze for Team USA, James has done more than enough for his country in his international career.
More than anything else, James could simply use the rest. James has played in five consecutive NBA Finals and has logged an inordinate number of minutes in his career.
