Booker had the final year of his contract fully guaranteed by the Jazz, the Deseret News reports.

Analysis:

The Jazz could have waived Booker by July 15th and saved close to $4.5 million in cap space this season. He will compete with rookie Trey Lyles for reserve frontcourt minutes, as well as the newly signed Tibor Pleiss. Booker averaged 7.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game last year, and his fantasy value is limited as a backup to Derrick Favors and Rudy Gobert.
