Gordon will be monitored closely this season in an attempt to keep him healthy as possible, the Times-Picayune reports.

Analysis:

Gordon put off surgery after tearing the labrum in his left shoulder last season, and he hasn't played more than 64 games since his rookie season. Coach Alvin Gentry is serious about keeping Gordon healthy, and he comes from an organization that monitored their players regularly and were led by Warriors' Stephen Curry playing a team-high 32.7 minutes per game. Gordon played 33.1 minutes per game last season, and that number is likely to decrease under Gentry.
