Desperate times call for desperate measures, and desperate teams call for desperate players.

Reeling from the loss of DeAndre Jordan, the Los Angeles Clippers are scrambling to fill a gaping void at center. Having reached a snag in their hopes of a potential three-way sign-and-trade, the Clippers are looking at free-agent center JaVale McGee, league sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.

McGee is a "serious consideration" for the Clippers, who will have Doc Rivers call McGee on Saturday, Wojnarowski reports.

The Clippers are capped out and have no internal options at center, so dumpster diving is pretty much their only option. And as far as reclamation projects go, McGee represents a high-upside option.

The 27-year-old isn't known as a cerebral player, but has tremendous length and athleticism. McGee is a project, but Rivers has a long history of molding raw centers into functional contributors.

Chris Paul, on the other hand, might just blow a fuse over McGee's shenanigans.

McGee has been limited to 28 games over the past two seasons due to a left tibia fracture.
