With the NBA's free-agency period in full swing, the Washington Wizards don't want to lose any more ground after enjoying a relatively successful 2014-15 season.

In the wake of losing gun-for-hire Paul Pierce to the Los Angeles Clippers, the Wizards seem to be looking at a multitude of players with a particular focus on further strengthening their backcourt rotation.

The Wizards find unrestricted free agent C.J. Watson's skill set appealing, according to the Washington Post's Jorge Castillo. Watson averaged 10 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists last season, while sporting a respectable 15.4 PER.

Meanwhile, Bleacher Report's Jared Zwerling says the Wizards would like to bring in Pacers stretch-four Chris Copeland, who is also an unrestricted free agent. A streaky long-distance shooter, Copeland missed the latter portion of the 2014-15 season following a stabbing incident in New York City in April.

Copeland is expected to be ready for the 2015-16 season, Zwerling reports.

On Wednesday, reports had the Wizards looking at Rodney Stuckey, who also finished last season with the Pacers. Former Brooklyn Nets swing guard Alan Anderson has also been considered an option. Both players are unrestricted free agents.

The Wizards finished the year ranked 22nd in offensive rating. Landing one or a combination of the aforementioned players would help bolster their bench scoring next year.
