Report: Celtics, Jerebko agree to 2-year, $10-million deal

The Boston Celtics were busy on the first day of free agency.
In addition to grabbing power forward Amir Johnson, the Celtics also signed restricted free agent Jonas Jerebko to a two-year, $10-million deal, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports. The second year of the contract is non-guaranteed, according to multiple reports.
The Celtics snagged Jerebko in a trade deadline deal involving Tayshaun Prince. In 29 games with Boston, Jerebko was a solid bench piece that split time at both forward positions while helping the Celtics to a surprising playoff run.
It's a bit of a reach to spend so much for a bench piece, but the free agency market has been red-hot since negotiations opened on Wednesday. Jerebko is a versatile forward who can adequately defend multiple positions, which has become increasingly popular in the modern NBA.
Jerebko averaged 7.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and one assist in 18.2 minutes per game. He shot 40.6 percent from deep on 64 attempts for Boston.
