Davis said he wants to return to the Lakers next season, Mark Medina of the LA Daily News reports."I definitely want to be back," Davis said. "With everything being equal, I'm 100 percent going back there. Hopefully that's the case. But with free agency and all the stuff going on with the draft, you never know how things are going to go."

Analysis:

Davis had a very promising campaign with the Lakers in his fifth NBA season, posting averages of 8.3 points and 7.6 rebounds in just over 23 minutes. He has a roughly $1 million player option that he can exercise this offseason to stay with the team, but given his production last season, he will likely want more money going forward. He's earned an increase in pay, and given his willingness to stay and the Lakers' lack of true frontcourt depth, there's a good chance he is back in Los Angeles next season.
