Drummond said he's tired of losing and is willing to do whatever it takes to make the Pistons a winning team, the Free Press reports. "I'm just so tired of losing that it comes down to me and what I'm doing on the floor and that if I'm not in the best condition, the best playing shape, I can't do nothing for my team," Drummond said.

Analysis:

Drummond was the 55th ranked player in 8-category leagues (no turnovers) this season, averaging 13.8 points, 13.5 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 0.9 steals, and 1.9 blocks in 31 minutes per game through 82 games played. He also shot 51 percent from the field and 39 percent from the free-throw line. Head-to-head players can draft Drummond as a solid centerpiece for the frontcourt of their fantasy teams, but rotisserie league players that use free-throw percentage as a category should avoid Drummond like the plague. His free-throw percentage is such a drag on the category that he is essentially a poison-pill option in roto leagues. Let someone else draft him there, and insulate your team with big men who are at least passable at the free-throw line. There's always room for growth at the free-throw line for the 21-year-old center, but until he starts producing more efficiently there, it's hard to recommend Drummond in roto formats that count free-throw percentage. It's encouraging that he's talking about taking on more of a leadership role, as that could lead to him improving other areas of his game as well.
