Rockets DJs ban 'Steph Curry with the shot' line from arena

The NBA's most valuable player will hear "Steph Curry with the shot" everywhere except the Houston Rockets' home arena.

The Rockets DJs told The Wall Street Journal's Ben Cohen that he will not allow the popular line from Drake's "0 to 100/The Catchup" that pays homage to Stephen Curry in the Toyota Center.

"Steph Curry will not hear his name in the arena," explained Chris Vu, or Dj Verseatile. "It's not a sign of disrespect. But this is our house."

That's not to say that the song is banned in its entirety, because its far too popular. No, Houston's DJs will just edit the line out of the song, as they did in January's matchup against the Golden State Warriors.

"I won't even let it get to that part," said Teryl Gray, or DJ T. Gray.

It's obviously a different story for the Warriors' DJ Derrick Robinson, or DJ DSharp, who played the line so often that he decided to give it a rest, hoping Curry wouldn't get sick of it.

Steph doesn't seem to mind, though.
