Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals is set to tip off on Friday against the backdrop of two potentially devastating injuries.
The Cleveland Cavaliers took Game 1 on Wednesday over the Atlanta Hawks. J.R. Smith stole the spotlight, setting a Cavaliers franchise playoff high with eight triples en route to 28 points.
However, Game 1 was marred by injuries, as both Kyrie Irving and DeMarre Carroll succumbed to knee injuries. Irving reaggravated the tendinitis in his left knee and Carroll's left leg buckled awkwardly late in the fourth.
Irving will not play in Game 2, while Carroll will draw the start.
