Starting Lineup, May 21: Howard in, Speights out

Troy Taormina / USA TODAY Sports

The battle rages on in the Western Conference.

Game 2 between the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets is set to tip off Thursday. The Rockets played their best and took the lead early in Game 1, but the Warriors roared back to capture a 110-106 win.

Stephen Curry led all scorers with 34 points on 13-of-22 shooting. He torched the Rockets' game plan, which saw Houston pit the combined 75 years of Jason Terry and Pablo Prigioni against the MVP. Predictably, that strategy failed.

Houston's defensive woes may be eased by Dwight Howard's appearance. The team announced that the center, who sustained a knee sprain on Tuesday, will see action tonight, though may play with a brace on his left knee.

Here are your projected starting lineups.
