The Philadelphia 76ers' rebuilding project has extended beyond the on-court product to include aesthetics, as the team unveiled new logos on Tuesday.

The new logos are effective immediately, with the Sixers set to reveal new uniforms (which hopefully include the dribbling Ben Franklin) on June 18.

The new uniforms, which the team says "are inspired by Sixers jersey designs from the eras of Chamberlain (late 1960s), Cunningham (1970s) and Julius Erving (1980s)," will be unveiled at an event attended by Allen Iverson, Moses Malone, Billy Cunningham, Darryl Dawkins and Bobby Jones, as well as the late Wilt Chamberlain's sister.

Other than a stretch in the late 1990s and early 2000s, the Sixers have relied on a pretty consistent look, as you would expect from a team whose nickname is based on numbers.

The Syracuse Nationals were renamed the 76ers upon their move to Philadelphia in 1963, celebrating the establishment and independence of the United States of America, which occurred in 1776.

The ring of 13 stars above the red No. 7 symbolizes the U.S.'s original 13 colonies.

The new, cleaner-looking logo will likely be featured prominently when the Sixers take center stage at next week's draft lottery, as Philadelphia enters the draw with the third-best odds of landing the No. 1 overall pick.
