Glen Davis fined $5,000 for Game 3 flop vs. Rockets

Big Baby's got that little wallet.

Los Angeles Clippers forward Glen Davis was fined $5,000 by the NBA on Saturday for violating the league's anti-flopping protocol.

This was largely expected, as Davis flopped quite egregiously during the first quarter of the team's Game 3 victory against the Houston Rockets on Friday. Dwight Howard gave Davis a shove on the play in question, but Davis flailed wildly and tumbled to the floor, successfully fooling officials into calling a defensive foul on Howard.

flippity floppity

Davis has been a frequent contact for the league of late, having been hit with a flop warning in mid-March and fined $15,000 for kicking a seat cushion into the crowd later in the month.

It's not the first fine the league has had to issue in the series, as Rockets wing Corey Brewer was likewise fined $5,000 for a flopping violation after Game 2.

If either player violates the anti-flopping rules again this season, they'll be hit with a $10,000 fine, with fines increasing subsequently from there.
