Justin Timberlake: Injured Mike Conley has 'heart of a lion'

Nelson Chenault / USA TODAY Sports

Mike Conley may be a Grizzly, but he plays with the heart of a lion.

Justin Timberlake may be a famous recording artist and a minority owner of the Memphis Grizzlies, but he gets excited about his favorite basketball team just like us.

Conley was back on the floor Tuesday night for Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Golden State Warriors, a little more than a week after surgery to install steel plates in his face as a result of a facial injury he suffered in the first round against the Portland Trail Blazers

Clad in a face mask and probably still in some pain, he posted 22 points and hit on 50 percent of his shots from beyond the arc in only 27 minutes on the court to help his team hand the Warriors a rare home loss.

Timberlake, a Memphis native, could not contain his excitement and took to Twitter to express what we all thought of Conley's performance.
