Scottie Pippen won six championships, made seven All-Star teams and was selected to seven All-NBA teams in his Hall of Fame career, establishing himself as one of the greatest two-way players in league history.

When a legend of that magnitude speaks, everyone listens. So when Pippen received a Twitter question about his all-time starting five - not including members of the 1992 Dream Team - the basketball world was waiting on his response.

Pippen's flexibility with respect to playing James at the point, and his awareness of the superior evolution of the modern athlete, are both refreshing. Far too often, old-timers from bygone eras believe their generation and ones before it were superior to the modern talent pool.

That doesn't seem to be an issue with Pippen, whose basketball IQ remains as high as it was in his playing days.
