Jae Crowder ended the 2014/15 season getting the most out of his opportunity with the Celtics. He now enters restricted free agency.

Crowder started the year buried on the Mavericks depth chart but was traded to the Celtics in late-December. He started 17 of 57 games for the Celtics, averaging 9.5 points, 0.8 three-pointers, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.0 steal in 24 minutes per game for Boston.

Analysis:

Crowder was a key cog in the Celtics' first-round playoff matchup with the Cavaliers. He suffered a left ACL sprain in Game 4 of the series, shortly before the team was eliminated from the playoffs. Crowder will be a restricted free agent this offseason, and he should be in line for a pay raise if a team decides he's the second coming of DeMarre Carroll and wants to throw some money his way. If that happens, Boston will have a tough choice to make regarding whether or not to match another team's offer sheet to Crowder.
