The San Antonio Spurs evened their Western Conference quarterfinal series against the Los Angeles Clippers with a thrilling overtime victory on Wednesday, but they may have suffered a crushing blow in the process.

Tony Parker left Game 2 due to right Achilles tightness, and the Spurs announced on Thursday that Parker is questionable for Game 4 on Friday.

The injury is reportedly serious enough to worry the defending champs.

This via CBS Sports' Ken Berger:

Late word out of the Spurs' locker room Wednesday night, according to a person briefed on the matter, is that Parker is expected to play in Game 3 on Friday night in San Antonio. But there is legitimate concern within the organization about how effective he will be, and about the injury becoming a recurring problem throughout the series.

Parker's Achilles issues have been lingering for at least a few weeks, as he was forced from a game due to the same tightness on April 7.

He also tweaked his left ankle and thigh in Sunday's Game 1 loss.

The 32-year-old certainly didn't look healthy Wednesday, finishing with a single point and five assists on 0-for-6 shooting in 30 minutes of action. Through two games of the first-round series, the six-time All-Star and 2007 Finals MVP has managed just 11 points and six assists on 4-of-17 shooting.

The series shifts to San Antonio for Game 3 on Friday.
