Bulls' Hinrich to return in Thursday's Game 3

Brett Davis / USA TODAY Sports

Chicago Bulls reserve Kirk Hinrich says he will make his 2015 postseason debut on Thursday after missing the team's first two games.

Hinrich missed home victories in Games 1 and 2 of Chicago's Eastern Conference quarterfinal series against the Milwaukee Bucks due to a hyperextended left knee.

Hinrich, who missed four of the Bulls' final seven regular-season games, averaged 5.7 points and 2.2 assists on a career-worst field goal percentage of 37.3 in over 24 minutes per game off the bench.

The Bulls announced Wednesday that rookie forward Nikola Mirotic will sit out Game 3 due to left leg injuries, including a strained quad and swollen knee sustained while getting tied up with Bucks center Zaza Pachulia in Game 2.

Mirotic remains unsure about his status for Saturday's Game 4.
