Mark D. Smith-USA TODAY Sports

The Oklahoma City Thunder recently paid for the funeral of a 16-year-old Oklahoma City boy who died in a car crash, according to Berry Tramel of The Oklahoman. General manager Sam Presti also attended the memorial service.

The teen, C.J. Davis, played basketball and football for John Marshall High School and, according to his stepfather Paul Otiento, was a Miami Heat fan despite being born and raised in OKC.

Otiento is thankful for the Thunder organization's generosity.

"I knew there was a reason we loved that entire organization, from the janitors to the owners," he said. "They are a good people. Words can't express how I feel."
