Blazers' Afflalo doubtful Sunday, McCollum probable

Jaime Valdez / USA TODAY Sports

Help is still a ways away for the Portland Trail Blazers.

Shooting guard Arron Afflalo is dealing with a sprained right shoulder and is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies, reports Blazers reporter Casey Holdahl.

Afflalo missed the Blazers' last four games of the season and was slated to miss one-to-two weeks. A return Sunday marks 10 days since his injury. Afflalo averaged 10.6 points and 2.7 rebounds per game after being dealt to Portland in a mid-season trade with the Denver Nuggets.

If Afflalo is unable to play, the Blazers will likely turn to C.J. McCollum in the starting lineup. But McCollumn is also nursing an injury after tweaking his ankle late in the season. However, Holdahl reports that McCollum is probable for Game 1.
