Grizzlies' Conley, Allen likely to play in Game 1 Sunday

The Memphis Grizzlies are getting healthy at the right time.

Both shooting guard Tony Allen and point guard Mike Conley are likely to play in Game 1 of the Grizzlies' round one matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday, reports Ronald Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal.

Allen has been hampered by a persistent hamstring injury that forced him to miss the last nine games of the regular season. Allen is an elite defender who will be tasked to lock down the Blazers' lethal perimeter scorers.

Conley, meanwhile, has battled an ankle issue which barred him from the Grizzlies' last four games. He's a well-balanced lead guard who can spot up, facilitate and score in the pick-and-roll. Conley is also a tremendous on-ball defender which will be key against Portland's Damian Lillard.
