Wade officially confirmed Friday that he will not opt out of his contract, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

As expected, Wade will remain on his current deal and return to the Heat next season. He was banged up throughout the season, batting knee and hamstring issues, but he'll look to return healthy in 2015-16 to team with Chris Bosh and Goran Dragic, assuming he re-signs, to form one of the better trios in the East.
