NBA Game Summary - Sacramento at LA Lakers

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Ben McLemore had 24 points and Derrick Williams scored 22 to lead the Sacramento Kings to a 122-99 win over the Los Angeles Lakers in the season finale for both teams on Wednesday.

Ray McCallum posted 19 points, while Carl Landry had 14 points and nine rebounds for the Kings (29-53), who snapped a six-game losing streak at Staples Center.

"We can be a good basketball team," Kings coach George Karl said. "We gotta have a good summer. We have to make good decisions over the summer."

Jabari Brown tallied a career-high 32 points for the Lakers (21-61), who already set the franchise record for most losses in a season and will now look to address certain problems with a high draft pick.

"We pretty much got what we were going to get with the guys we had that went out there," Lakers coach Byron Scott said. "The first half our guys really didn't compete as well as they should have for whatever reason."

Sacramento went on a 13-2 run midway through the first quarter that helped it to a 21-10 lead.

The Kings led 33-23 after the first quarter, and that margin quickly grew early in the second when Williams canned consecutive 3-pointers that kicked off a 10-4 burst. Jason Thompson capped the run with a layup that pushed their lead to 53-37.

McLemore and Williams each scored 16 points in the first half to give Sacramento a 67-53 lead at the break.

The Kings led by as many as 29 in the second half and coasted down the stretch.
