Monta Ellis: (Rest) Out Monday

Ellis (rest) will not travel to Utah for Monday's game against the Jazz, Eddie Sefko of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Analysis:

The same goes for Dirk Nowitzki and Tyson Chandler, while Chandler Parsons (knee) is also unlikely to play, according to Tim McMahon of ESPN Dallas. Rajon Rondo previously took a game off Friday, and while he's apparently the only starter expected to play, he probably won't get extra minutes. It's unclear what the Mavs will do for Wednesday's regular-season finale against the Trail Blazers, but there is some chance that Ellis, Nowitzki, Parsons, and Chandler return for a final tune-up before the playoffs.
