Russell Westbrook: Picks Up 16th Technical Foul

Westbrook picked up his 16th technical foul of the season during Sunday's loss to the Pacers, leaving him on track to be suspended for Monday's game against the Trail Blazers.

Analysis:

Unless the technical is rescinded by the NBA, Westbrook will miss a game at the worst possible time for his team. He had a rather eventful Sunday night, finishing with a career-high 54 points (21-43 FG, 5-15 3PT, 7-11 FT), nine rebounds and eight assists in a 116-104 loss. Assuming the technical foul is upheld, D.J. Augustin will likely get the starting nod at point guard Monday night, with Dion Waiters and Enes Kanter potentially getting some extra shots. Westbrook will be eligible to return for Wednesday's regular-season finale in Minnesota.
