VIDEO: Gasol greets excited youngster; fans show appreciation with 2-storey mural

Lost in Wednesday's very busy, 13-game schedule was a touching highlight.

As Memphis Grizzlies superstar Marc Gasol walked off the court following the team's 110-74 drubbing of the New Orleans Pelicans, he was greeted by a very excited young fan, who was perched on the shoulders of his father.

Once the child confirmed that Gasol was, in fact, the former Defensive Player of the Year, he gave the 7-footer a high-five and graciously accepted some swag.

The fan is a regular at Grizzlies games and even received a shirt from Zach Randolph last season.

He's not the only fan the Grizzlies frontcourt gives love to, as the Gasol/Randolph pairing also greeted a long-time Grizzlies fan before the game, gifting her with a pair of jerseys.

Given how Gasol treats fans, it's little surprise things like a two-storey mural - found a 10-minute drive from FedEx Forum - exist.

Needless to say, Grizzlies fans will be devastated if the unrestricted free agent leaves town this summer, not that him doing so is a forgone conclusion.
