Lawson and Gallinari back for Nuggets on Wednesday

Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

The Denver Nuggets will be healthier Wednesday as they take on the Los Angeles Lakers in the battle for biggest disappointment of 2014-15.

The Nuggets will get Ty Lawson and Danilo Gallinari back from one-game absences and Wilson Chandler, under the weather earlier in the day, will start, too. It remains unclear if Gary Harris (illness) and Darrell Arthur (calf) will be available off the bench.

The Nuggets were summarily dispatched by the better Staples Center tenant on Saturday and have every incentive to lose right now to try to improve their draft position. That will be tough against the lowly Lakers, especially with Lawson and Gallinari back in the fold.

Lawson is averaging 15.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, 9.5 assists and 1.3 steals in 71 games, strong production entering what could be an interesting offseason for himself and the Nuggets.

Gallinari is  averaging 11.4 points and 3.5 rebounds in his first season back from a torn ACL, but those numbers don't necessarily do his recovery justice - he's averaged 15.1 points and 4.1 rebounds over his last 28 appearances.
