VIDEO: Lillard incorrectly awarded 3 points on 2-pointer

Given the increase in 3-point shooting over the years, some people want to move the NBA's 3-point line back. Referee Bennie Adams apparently wants to move it in.

Check out this Damian Lillard jumper that Adams awarded three points for on Monday.

Usually when an official is unsure whether a made basket was a 3-pointer or not, it's because the shooter's feet were in close proximity to the line, something that's sometimes impossible to distinguish in real time.

As you can see on this third-quarter jumper from Lillard, however, he was nowhere near 3-point territory when Adams raised his arms to signal for three.

Adams didn't signal for a review and missed his window to review the play later, meaning Lillard was awarded three points for what was practically a mid-range jumper.

Luckily the Brooklyn Nets beat Lillard's Portland Trail Blazers in a rout and the game didn't come down to one possession or a single point.
