Hawks match franchise record with 57th win, lose Millsap to shoulder injury in rout of Nets

The Atlanta Hawks' historic, blowout win Saturday over the Brooklyn Nets came at an expense.

Atlanta lost power forward Paul Millsap in the second quarter to a right shoulder injury. He didn't return after a collision with Nets forward Earl Clark, and the severity of the injury is unknown. But Millsap was in visible pain before leaving the contest and was not available for comment following the 131-99 victory.

The injury took away from what was a big night in the organization's history. Atlanta matched a franchise record by winning its 57th game of the season, tying the 1986-87 and 1993-94  teams.

Hawks head coach Mike Budenholzer provided no updates on Millsap following the contest and said he will be re-evaluated Sunday.

Millsap scored eight points, adding five assists and three rebounds in 17 minutes.

A two-time All-Star, Millsap entered Saturday averaging a team-leading 17 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game. He's been a key reason why the Hawks have secured homecourt throughout the duration of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Seven Hawks players scored in double figures in the win, led by DeMarre Carroll and Al Horford's 20 points apiece.

Brooklyn had a six-game winning streak snapped.
